Ingredients
- 1 cup Low Sodium Chicken Broth
- 3 Garlic
- 2 tablespoons Parsley (Fresh)
- 1 cup Long Grain White Rice
- 2 tablespoons Unsalted Butter
- 1 Kosher Salt
- 1 cup Peas (Frozen)
- 1 Black Pepper
Directions
- Mise en place: Mince the garlic. Chop the fresh parsley.
- In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until aromatic.
- Add the long-grain white rice to the saucepan and toast for 1 minute, ensuring each grain is coated in butter.
- Pour in the chicken broth and kosher salt. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes.
- Evenly distribute the frozen peas over the rice. Cover the saucepan again and cook for an additional 3 to 4 minutes, or until the rice is tender and the peas are heated through.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat and allow it to stand, covered, for 5 minutes. Fluff the rice with a fork, season with black pepper, and stir in the chopped fresh parsley before serving warm.
