Ingredients
- 4 Garlic
- 4 Zucchinis
- 1 ½ Kosher Salt
- 1 ½ tablespoons Lemon (Juice)
- ¼ cup + 2 tablespoons Basil (Fresh)
- 1 ½ Black Pepper
- 1 ½ Red Pepper Flakes
- 3 tablespoons Olive Oil
Directions
- Mise en place: Slice the zucchini. Mince the garlic.
- Warm the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until it shimmers.
- Arrange the sliced zucchini in a single layer in the hot skillet. Allow it to cook undisturbed for 2 to 3 minutes to develop a nice brown crust. Then, stir the zucchini and continue cooking for another 4 to 6 minutes, until it is tender-crisp and lightly golden.
- Add the minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using) to the skillet. Stir and cook for approximately 30 seconds until the garlic is fragrant.
- Remove the skillet from the heat. Toss the zucchini mixture with the lemon juice and fresh basil. Taste and add more salt if needed. Serve immediately while warm.
