30 mins 6 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ pounds Lean Ground Beef
  • 4 ½ cloves of Garlic
  • 1 ½ tablespoons Ginger
  • 1 ½ Scallion
  • 4 cups + ½ cup Snow Pea
  • ½ cup Low-Sodium Soy Sauce
  • 1 ½ tablespoons Rice Vinegar
  • 1 ½ Red Pepper Flakes
  • 1 ½ tablespoons Neutral Oil
  • 1 ½ teaspoons Sesame Oil
  • 1 ½ tablespoons Sesame Seeds
  • 1 ½ tablespoons Honey
  • 3 tablespoons Water

Directions

  1. Mise en place: Prepare the sauce by whisking together the low-sodium soy sauce, water, honey, rice vinegar, toasted sesame oil, and red pepper flakes in a small bowl. Finely chop the garlic and ginger. Slice the scallions. Set the sauce mixture aside.
  2. Heat the neutral oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it apart with a spoon, until it is thoroughly browned and no longer pink, approximately 6 to 8 minutes. Carefully drain off any excess fat.
  3. Incorporate the chopped garlic and ginger into the skillet with the beef. Sauté for about 30 to 60 seconds, stirring constantly, until the aromatics become fragrant.
  4. Add the snap peas to the skillet. Stir frequently and cook until they turn a vibrant green color and are tender yet still have a slight crispness, about 3 to 4 minutes.
  5. Pour the prepared sauce over the beef and snap peas. Allow it to simmer for 1 to 2 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens slightly and coats the ingredients evenly.
  6. Remove the skillet from the heat. Garnish the dish with the sliced scallions and sesame seeds. This dish can be enjoyed on its own or served over cooked rice.
