Ingredients
- 1 pound Lean Ground Beef
- 3 cloves of Garlic
- 1 tablespoon Ginger
- 1 Scallion
- 3 cups Snow Pea
- ⅓ cup Low-Sodium Soy Sauce
- 1 tablespoon Rice Vinegar
- 1 Red Pepper Flakes
- 1 tablespoon Neutral Oil
- 1 teaspoon Sesame Oil
- 1 tablespoon Sesame Seeds
- 1 tablespoon Honey
- 2 tablespoons Water
Directions
- Mise en place: Prepare the sauce by whisking together the low-sodium soy sauce, water, honey, rice vinegar, toasted sesame oil, and red pepper flakes in a small bowl. Finely chop the garlic and ginger. Slice the scallions. Set the sauce mixture aside.
- Heat the neutral oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it apart with a spoon, until it is thoroughly browned and no longer pink, approximately 6 to 8 minutes. Carefully drain off any excess fat.
- Incorporate the chopped garlic and ginger into the skillet with the beef. Sauté for about 30 to 60 seconds, stirring constantly, until the aromatics become fragrant.
- Add the snap peas to the skillet. Stir frequently and cook until they turn a vibrant green color and are tender yet still have a slight crispness, about 3 to 4 minutes.
- Pour the prepared sauce over the beef and snap peas. Allow it to simmer for 1 to 2 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens slightly and coats the ingredients evenly.
- Remove the skillet from the heat. Garnish the dish with the sliced scallions and sesame seeds. This dish can be enjoyed on its own or served over cooked rice.
