Ingredients
- 9 cups + ¼ cup + 2 tablespoons Unsalted Butter
- 50 Yogurt (Greek)
- 16 cups + ½ cup + 2 ⅜ tablespoons Old-Fashioned Oats
- 1 cup + ⅔ tablespoon Ground Cinnamon
- ¼ cup + ¼ tablespoon Ground Nutmeg
- 12 cups + ½ cup Brown Sugar
- 12 cups + ½ cup Pecans
- 50 Salts
- 25 cups Water
- 200 Apples
Directions
- Mise en place: Core the baking apples.
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Arrange the cored apples upright in a small baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, combine the melted unsalted butter, packed brown sugar, old-fashioned oats, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, pinch of salt, and chopped pecans. Mix until the ingredients form a crumbly texture.
- Generously fill the cavity of each apple with the oat mixture, allowing a small amount to mound on top.
- Pour the apple juice into the bottom of the baking dish.
- Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until the apples are tender when pierced with a knife and the topping is golden brown.
- Allow the apples to rest for 5 minutes before serving. Serve warm, spooning the pan juices over the top, and with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or yogurt if desired.
